Project Sponsors
Our primary sponsors are organisations whom we have had an ongoing relationship with for years now, other sponsors help this effort as stated below.
Be it equipment, financial, legal, information, or other; they are all supporting this project to help and protect the Sea Turtles nesting on Tioman Island and are active participants in the pursuit of greater environmental awareness.
To become a sponsor, please see the how to help page.
Primary Sponsors
Riverview Lagoon
Riverview and Lagoon Resorts here in Juara provide much of the finance, man power and inspiration to make this project work.
United World College South East Asia
UWCSEA provides financial funding for this project and supports a curriculum where their students have the opportunity to learn and get involved in environmental causes such as this.
Little Planet
Little Planet supports this project physically, with financial contributions and by promoting our programs to outdoor education groups and individuals.
Sponsors
KAVU
KAVU has been a friend of our staff for a while now. They have sent the project some much needed clothing for two years straight now, as we can wear through threads quite fast out here. Not to mention the limited supply of good quality clothes to be found. So whatever walk of life you are in check out these quality, thoughtful clothes from Seattle WA.
GSI Outdoors
GSI Outdoors has graciously supplied us with a few very useful items for our effort here. Six waterproof boxes to transport sensitive equipment to beaches and nesting sites, two sets of non-stick camp cookware which we actually use in our kitchen because they are way better than the pans we had been using (most broken already), 12 single serving JavaDrip coffee filters that just fit over a mug for an easy cup of jo, and a real nice insulated french press coffee pot; a pleasure for some real black coffee. We really appreciate their willingness to contribute and we were all impressed by the quality and size of their donation. So please check out their website and know you are looking at quality equipment.
PRIMUS
PRIMUS has sent us six high quality headlamp flash-lights. We want to them requesting for their support as their headlamps are not only durable but have a red LED light option. Here the red light is very important as neting Sea Turtles cannot see red light nearly a clear as other colours, thus they are less disturbed by the red light. On their own, PRIMUS has supplied us with enough torches for all beach patrol activities, and enough for us to support a few cooperating locals with these appropriate lights as well. So again please look at their products when you are in the market for a torch, camp stove or more; and remember the commitment they have shown to helping this environmental effort. Don't take it just from us, you can also read their 5 star reviews all over the internet.
